Janice Bryant Howroyd launched her company using the $1500 she had in 1976, and now, almost two decades later, it has a turnover of $1 million.

Oprah Winfrey

We can’t stop praising how much of an influence Oprah Winfrey has had on the young generation. It wouldn’t be wrong to call her Media Mogul. However, in 2011, she turned to a full-fledged entrepreneur with Oxygen Media, and she is currently the head of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. According to Forbes, her net worth is $2.6 billion.

Beyonce

Beyonce is one of the most renowned singer-songwriters. She gained fame with her group Destiny’s Child back in the 1990s. She launched Parkwood Entertainment which is responsible for producing music, movies, and clothing. She also signed a contract of $60 million with Netflix to offer content.

Tory Burch

She is already a household name in the fashion industry. She launched her US-based clothing and a fashion line in 2004, which now has a turnover of around $1.5 billion. In 2020, she found herself on the list of Forbes’s most powerful women. Being a philanthropist, Burch established the Tony Burch Foundation to extend support for women entrepreneurs.

Rihanna

Rihanna is a brilliant singer and an excellent entrepreneur who made a fortune of $600 million with her Fenty Beauty. She also introduced the Savage X Fenty lingerie line. Rihanna was on the Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made women 2020.

Sara Blakely

Sara Blakely is the mind behind the undergarment line, Spanx undergarment. She started the business with only $5000, and now the company sells undergarments in more than 50 countries. She also introduced her foundation, which aims at helping women entrepreneurs. She partnered with GlobalGiving during a pandemic to help struggling women entrepreneurs. They awarded around $5,000 for women-owned businesses.

Arianna Huffington

She’s the mastermind behind The Huffington Post from 2005. Although she sold it in 2011, she continued promoting Huffington worldwide. However, in 2016, she stepped down as a crucial member position from The Huffington Post and launched the health and wellness company, Thrive Global.

Michelle Obama

Talking about influential ladies of America and not mentioning Michelle Obama would be a crime. She was the First Lady of the US from 2009 to 2017, and during her period, she has influenced many young minds. She promoted the importance of educating girls to help them become independent. She even launched a book where she talked of her struggles and how she overcame them.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton broke the general norms and became the first female Presidential nominee of 2016. Although she lost the election, she continued inspiring young female minds to never give up on their dreams. She’s made TV appearances where she talks about the importance of women’s independence and why they need to follow their dreams.

Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris is the first female vice president of the United States of America. Most of the people of America are already see her as their future president.
